Homelab
A home network built and run myself: networking gear, servers, and Docker containers, plus home security. Mostly I learn by breaking it and fixing it.
I've spent 6+ years with my hands in cars, from running a quick-lube shop to flat-rate repair to EV diagnostics at Tesla. I spent about a year and a half in Mobile Service working solo as the face of the brand, and now I'm in the Service Center tracking down tough electrical and high-voltage problems and training new technicians.
Off the clock I'm entirely self-taught: networking, servers, Docker, Home Assistant, CAD, and whatever AI tool came out this week. If it has wires, code, or bolts, I want to know how it works.

Home Assistant tying together a Zigbee device network, automations, and home security sensors.
Designing and printing my own parts, with CAD I taught myself. Brackets, fixes, and things that didn't exist until I needed them.
Hands-on experiments with AI tools and agents to see what they can actually automate.
Classes in basic web development and light scripting. This site is part of that.
Diagnose and repair nearly every Tesla EV system: high-voltage, low-voltage electrical, HVAC, and suspension. Spent about 1.5 years in Mobile Service working solo on-site and managing my own schedule, then moved to the Service Center. I train and mentor new-hire technicians ("copilots").
Routine maintenance and diagnostics, shop safety and compliance, and clear explanations of the work to customers.
Flat-rate diagnosis using live engine data, plus welding, fabrication, engine disassembly, wiring, and suspension work, finished within quoted labor times.
Commission-based sales across the top three U.S. carriers, plus device and account troubleshooting.
Lube tech work plus hiring, training, daily shop operations, reports, cash handling, and resolving customer issues.
